As of November 2023, construction is on schedule and will continue shifting traffic into subsequent stages at several locations over the next several weeks. The next shift to occur will be in the Northbound Outer and Inner Roadways at Milepost 84 and is scheduled for the nights of November 15th to shift the Outer Roadway (truck lanes) and November 20th to shift the Inner Roadway (car lanes). Exact dates subject to change based on weather conditions.
Northbound Outer Roadway (truck lanes) at Structures 84.24 and 84.55
All three lanes will be shifted 48 feet to the right onto the newly constructed bridge deck. The shift is currently scheduled for the night of Wednesday, November 15th and motorists should expect minimal, if any, delays while the shift is taking place.
Northbound Inner Roadway (car lanes) at Structures 84.24 and 84.55
All three lanes will be shifted 48 feet to the right onto what was previously the Outer Roadway (truck lanes). The shift is currently scheduled for the night of Monday, November 20th and motorists should expect minimal, if any, delays while the shift is taking place.
Milepost 83-85 (Structures 84.24 & 84.55)
Northbound Traffic will be shifted from Stage 1 into Stage 2 (out of 4 stages) as noted above and will create a workzone to the left of the Inner Roadway (car lanes). Northbound Stage 2 completion date is tentatively scheduled for the end of May 2024.
Southbound traffic on both the inner and outer roadways is currently shifted to the left to create a work zone on the right side of the bridge structures. Southbound Stage 1 completion date is currently scheduled for the beginning of December 2023
Milepost 85-88 (Structure 85.77 & 87.10)
Northbound Traffic
The inner roadway is currently shifted to the left to create room for shifting the outer roadway to create room workzones and will remain in this configuration until January 2024.
Structure 85.77N in the outer roadway is now in Stage 2 and has one lane to the left of the workzone and two lanes to the right of the workzone and will remain in this configuration until January 2024.
Structure 87.10N in the outer roadway is now in Stage 2 and has one lane to the left of the workzone and two lanes to the right of the workzone and will remain in this configuration until February 2024.
Southbound Traffic
The inner roadway is currently shifted to the left to create room for shifting the outer roadway to create room workzones and will remain in this configuration until November 2023.
The outer roadway at Structure 85.77S is in Stage 2 which has the left lane separated from the center and right lanes by construction barrier and the workzone is to the right of all three lanes. It will remain in this configuration until the beginning of January 2024.
The outer roadway at Structure 87.10S is in Stage 2 which has the left lane separated from the center and right lanes by construction barrier and the workzone is to the right of all three lanes. It will remain in this configuration until mid-December 2023.
